SMS Equipment’s New Canada-Wide Dealership Agreements with World-Class Manufacturers, Industry Associations
June 1, 2017, John Deere announced its acquisition of the Wirtgen Group of Companies. Subsequently, October 1, 2019, SMS Equipment and Wirtgen Group of Companies announced their mutual disassociation in the distribution of the Wirtgen product lines.
SMS Equipment continues to grow with and invest in the roadbuilding and construction industry as a leading, long-term, full-service dealership with new dealership agreements with two world-class manufacturers: BOMAG and Cemen Tech.

Effective December 1, 2019, SMS Equipment will become the BOMAG dealership, selling and supporting BOMAG compaction, milling, paving and reclaiming/ stabilizing equipment. BOMAG, founded in 1957, is the world market leader in the field of compaction technology and manufacturing of machines for the compaction of soils, asphalt and refuse, stabilizers/recyclers, land milling machines as well as finishers. Compaction equipment from BOMAG is used in areas as diverse as horticulture and landscaping through to the entire range of road construction and heavy dam construction. BOMAG provides special solutions for use on landfill sites of all sizes, as well as for recycling damaged asphalt pavement, and for soil stabilization.
