SMS Equipment’s New Canada-Wide Dealership Agreements with World-Class Manufacturers, Industry Associations

June 1, 2017, John Deere announced its acquisition of the Wirtgen Group of Companies. Subsequently, October 1, 2019, SMS Equipment and Wirtgen Group of Companies announced their mutual
disassociation in the distribution of the Wirtgen product lines.

SMS Equipment continues to grow with and invest in the roadbuilding and construction industry as a leading, long-term, full-service dealership with new dealership agreements with two world-class manufacturers: BOMAG and Cemen Tech.

SMS Equipment President and CEO, Mike Granger, said, “SMS Equipment focuses on providing solutions and ensuring our road building and construction customers have access to the best products. Effective December 1, 2019, SMS Equipment will become the BOMAG dealership, selling and supporting BOMAG compaction, milling, paving and reclaiming/ stabilizing equipment. BOMAG, founded in 1957, is the world market leader in the field of compaction technology and manufacturing of machines for the compaction of soils, asphalt and refuse, stabilizers/recyclers, land milling machines as well as finishers. Compaction equipment from BOMAG is used in areas as diverse as horticulture and landscaping through to the entire range of road construction and heavy dam construction. BOMAG provides special solutions for use on landfill sites of all sizes, as well as for recycling damaged asphalt pavement, and for soil stabilization.

Effective immediately, SMS Equipment will also sell and support Cemen Tech mobile concrete mixers, stationary concrete mixers, and cement storage silos for road building and construction. Cemen Tech has 50 years of manufacturing and engineering experience in the volumetric mixing industry. As the industry leader, the company strives to provide the highest quality concrete mixers to its customers. Cemen Tech currently operates in over 60 countries and services mixers across the globe. Their products provide the foundation and stability to meet the needs of a growing world in an environmentally conscious way.
