Construction Assessment Rates Decrease by 21%

In December 2013, the Commission announced that the average base rate for the construction sector would be $2.57 per $100 of assessable payroll. This represents a 21% decrease over the previous year and close to a 50% decrease over the last 10 years. In actual fact, in the last four years, every single construction company saw their base assessment rate decrease.
